Townend Tipis and Farm offers a stunning bespoke outdoor festival-style wedding experience for couples who are looking for something a little different for their special day. The perfect place to celebrate your nuptials is amongst the lush greenery and fresh country air of the East Riding of Yorkshire. This romantic outdoor venue has stunning winding woodland walkways, along with wide open areas with breath-taking vistas of the surrounding countryside. Home to the Aylott family, Claudia and Hedley will work with you at every step of your wedding journey to make sure you have the most wonderful day to remember at Townend Farm.
These blank canvas tipis offer the rare opportunity to display your personal style and let your imagination run wild. Split your day between the tipis, welcome drinks with a roaring fire and soft furnishings in one hat, a sit-down meal in another and a full tipi hat for a dance floor, creating a seamless transition between events. As a licenced venue for ceremonies, Townend Farm offers different location options around the farm for your ceremony.
The only things you'll need to organise is catering, entertainment and decoration. We have NO restrictions on catering or other providers you'd like to use. Nor do we charge you ANY extras for things like cake stands and chairs for your guests! Our fire pits and wood come with our compliments and we simply want you to have a hassle free amazing day to remember. We are also happy for your guests to camp or for you to put up luxury 'glamping' bell tents FREE of charge.
We also have a gorgeous 2 bedroom barn converted cottage on site that sleeps 5 people which is available to hire for a 2 night stay during your wedding.
We will be on hand throughout the planning process and throughout the day to ensure that everything runs smoothly. The venue also offers a catering tent, connected to mains electricity and water, as well as a fully stocked and staffed bar with mixologists and luxury toilets. All tents are decked out in fairy lights, specialist lighting and a spectacular mirror ball to create a welcoming and stunning atmosphere.
